Fast. Fearless.
Furious.

The SKATE ensemble freestyle their way through impossibly frenetic routines, carving the room – on beat, in ensemble, in flight, a feast for the eyes and ears.

Each trick landed with precision, creates a symphony of percussive beats. Each beat triggers an image. Each image transforms the stage, with explosions of light and colour.

Eight skateboarders compose, choreograph, carve and paint the stage, using nothing but their skateboards, pursuing an almost impossible dream – to create a mind-bending virtuosic musical performance piece, backed by tracking projection, all triggered by raw virtuosic ensemble skateboarding.

Audacious
edgy
performance.

SKATE is
music.

Our stage is a percussive instrument.
Performers skate, move, tap and land in time, creating an immersive world of rhythm.

SKATE IS
IMAGE.

Our stage is a giant canvas.
Beats trigger moving image, bathing the action in colour, as performers paint with exquisite light.

SKATE is
movement.

Our stage is a sculpture.
Performers explore the limits of space, pursuing the impossible in sound, light and freedom.

SKATE is
art.

Our stage is our world.
Actions speak louder than words. Without words SKATE weaves its own unique theatrical language.

Skate is
generous.

All profits from this highly commercial work fund projects in disadvantaged communities.
Skateboarders without borders… skate for a better world.
